Conditional revocation of driving license
A conditional revocation of driving license means, that you can keep your driver's license, if you pass a driving test within 6 months after the disqualification. But what other requirements do you have to meet to be able to keep your driver's license? And what situations can lead to a conditional revocation of driving license? Get the answers here.

What does conditional revocation of driving license mean?
A conditional revocation of the driving license means, that you keep your driver's license, if you re-pass a driving test. You must both pass a theory test, where your theoretical knowledge of driving is tested, and a driving test, where your practical driving skills are tested. You do not have to take theory or driving lessons, before taking the test. However, it may be a good idea to take a few theory lessons, as even experienced drivers may have difficulty passing the theory test.

If your driving license is conditionally revoked, you must take and pass the driving test, including theory test, within 6 months after, that you had your driving license revoked by a court decision. If you do not meet the deadline 6 months, you will, as a rule, instead have your driving license revoked unconditionally.

Additional conditions

When you have passed both the controlling driving test and the theory test after the conditional disqualification, have you regained your driving license for a trial period of 3 years old. After that, it is a condition, that you do not commit new traffic offenses, which can trigger a conditional revocation of the driving license or worse, as this will result in an unconditional revocation of your driving license for at least 6 months. If you have received a conditional revocation of your driving license due to drink-driving, it is also a condition of the acquisition, that you complete one ANT course (alcohol / drug / traffic course).

Requirements for application

In order for you to regain your driving license after a conditional revocation, You must, as a rule, appear in person at one of the country's municipalities and bring a completed application form. In some municipalities, however, your driving instructor may show up for you and handle this part of the process. In connection with this, you - or your driving instructor on your behalf - must present a valid passport or driving license, as well as that letter, you have received regarding the revocation of your driving license. You must also bring an ANT course certificate, if you have had your driving license revoked due to drink-driving.

When can you get a conditional revocation of a driving license?
It is only possible to obtain a conditional revocation of the driving license, if you have had a driving license for more than 3 years before the disqualification. This is due to, that your first 3 years of driving license is a trial period, and that a disqualification during this probationary period is likely to result in a driving ban.

You can get a conditional revocation of your driving license, If you:

Conditional revocation of the driving license

If you have been granted a conditional revocation of the driving license, you can regain your driving license for a three-year trial period, if you pass a driving test. This test consists of a theoretical and practical test, where you will be tested in the underlying theory of driving, and your practical ability to drive.

If a time limit has been set for, when you must have passed the driving test at the latest, however, you must meet this deadline. The deadline is generally set at 6 months.

If you commit a traffic offense within the three-year trial period, which can again trigger a conditional revocation of the driving license, you will receive an unconditional revocation of your driving license of at least 6 months.
